We are looking for a communications intern to support internal and external communications for our Italian office in Milan. This role will work closely with the European regional communications officer on content creation and channel management.

Skills and capabilities:

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Strong English writing and storytelling skills
• Academic background in journalism, communications or related disciplines
• Ability to create and develop relationships with a variety of colleagues
• Detail-oriented, able to meet tight deadlines, highly motivated
• Bilingual in English/Italian

Role:

• Enhance the visibility of a range of Arup activities for all our external and internal stakeholders (including press, social, digital, public affairs; as well as peers, management, etc)
• Able to create insightful, versatile copy (online/offline/social media); advanced editing skills
• Curate quality content to feed and maintain a content calendar
• Help steer social media activity in the office, by promoting best-practice on LinkedIn and supporting social media ambassadors
• Track coverage, both external and internal, creating monthly reports
• Assist in the design of graphics and visual assets in support of comms activities
